Let the good times roll! There's nothing more important than family. This is a value that owner, Shonari, was taught and shown at a very young age.
Spending time with family often happens around a big table, under a dimly lit chandelier, but most importantly, there's food on the table. Nari's Caribbean & Cajun Cuisine is more than catering. Nari's is one man's mission to make that family time a little easier and a whole lot better.
Nari's can cater a small order, 3-4 plates, just for your family to take the night off and really enjoy the company of one another. We can also cater your business lunch, wedding, or family reunion (if Granny's getting tired of doing all the cooking herself).
Custom menu's are available upon request for larger events, and printable menus are also available for discussing with the big boss or the board for the corporate cats. Just give Nari a holler on the order form!
Shonari Mondesir, bettern known as 'Nari, was raised by a West Indian family from Curaçao & St.Lucia. Tropical aromas and delicate spices filled his home as a child, sparking a passion for cooking at a young age. Growing up in the South has influenced his creole, soulful influence on cooking, adding a country charm and more than a pinch of spice.
Some might say there's no food more soulful than that of New Orleans, Louisiana. And they'd be right. With bold, slow-cooked flavors, rich with love, cajun cuisine is a special one. Paired with the bold, vibrant colors and delicate spices of the Caribbean Isles, Nari's Cajun & Caribbean Cuisine is a flavor experience that's new to Houston, Texas.
Shonari's grandparents immigrated to America in 1953. They came with only suitcases and their West Indian pride. At all their family get-togethers, Nari's family created a tradition of fellowship brought together by flavor and heartfelt laughter. Shonari has learned the value of family and unity through food, and he just wants to share that with the world.
